About Nada Prskalo – Pilgrimage Director

Nada

We were living a very worldly life. Our life consisted of partying, dancing, and  chasing the latest clothing designers; we were away from God.

In 1988, my mother became ill with cancer and I asked her how I could help. She instructed me to “go to church to pray for her and all sick people”. So, I started going to church daily and became deeply strengthened in my faith.

At first I did not enjoy praying, but after a few years the rosary became a joy to pray just as the Blessed Mother had promised the visionaries in Medjugorje.  I went to visit my friends and relatives in Medjugorje often and my American friends would ask me if they could come along.  I started taking close friends with me to Medjugorje and soon my phone started ringing with requests from other people to join us.  This began my ministry of taking pilgrims to Medjugorje in 2001.

In fulfilling what I call “a Mission from God”, Ave Maria Pilgrimage was formed bringing people of all ages not only to Medjugorje, but also to the holy shrines of Europe, as well as Mexico and the Holy Land.  Several of these pilgrims have traveled with us more than once.  Our satisfaction comes from the conversion of their hearts, seeing them become more patient, loving, and experiencing deeper relationships with God and their families.

In response to a priest’s request for more local prayer groups, I organized a group devoted to the rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which has continued since 1999 meeting  in my home and at St. Killian’s Church in Mission Viejo, California.  Our group, should you decide to join us, meets at St. Killian’s every Wednesday at 4:00pm in the church.

Blessed Mother is always calling us to conversion whenever we feel drawn to respond to her call. Medjugorje has become a place not only to feel the Croatian lifestyle and become part of my extended family; but pilgrims, guests and friends are well-cared for and spiritually nourished.

We welcome you to our website and hope that you may be called to join us on our trips. Contact us for  more information and  May God always bless you with His many graces.
